How it works
Each shuffle draws one item from four independent pools — a technology from across the four Jamverse universes, a thematic question that runs through the fiction, a specific universe element (a place, figure, or protocol) to anchor in, and an artifact form to write it as (a grocery list, a police report, a eulogy, a billboard…).
You're not required to use all four literally. Use them as a lens, a constraint, or a starting point. The best artifacts will make the prompt feel inevitable rather than imposed — and the artifact form is often the most generative constraint of all.
When you submit, your drawn elements are recorded with your entry so judges know the constraints you were working within. You can still fill in toybox elements and universe selections as normal.
